Legal
Guest Wi-Fi acceptable use.
This is not an ISP
Outpost is a hardware sale. The customer supplies the Starlink Mini and buys Starlink service from SpaceX in their own name. Outpost does not include satellite service. TwoLfe is not an ISP. We do not resell Roam or Residential as paid crowd Wi-Fi.
The kit owner is the Starlink customer. They are responsible for SpaceX’s terms (US TOS DOC-1020-91087-64) and for how their guests use the SSID. TwoLfe sells the case, not the satellite link.
Who may use Guest
Local Priority is required if guests who are not the account holder use the Wi-Fi.
- Roam 100 GB / 300 GB is for the account holder’s own devices and family only — not a wedding, jobsite, ticketed crowd, or clinic waiting room.
- Roam Unlimited and Residential are not permitted for business or enterprise.
- Do not coach Roam for a crowd SSID. Do not resell Roam as paid crowd Wi-Fi.
- Hardware still does not include service. Buy the plan at starlink.com.
Rules on Outpost-Guest
- SSID
Outpost-Guest, VLAN 20, client isolation on, per-client 10 / 2 Mbps unless the operator raises it because WAN allows. - Staff is a separate SSID (
Outpost-Staff). Staff PSK is not on the public card. Guests do not get LAN 1 / LAN 2. - No captive portal. Scan the QR. That is the join path.
- Do not use the network for illegal activity, abuse of others, spam, or attacks.
- Do not try to bridge, scan, or hairpin onto the staff VLAN. Guest cannot ping 192.168.1.1; that is intentional.
- Optional cellular failover (Event U5G) is staff VLAN only. Guests never ride a phone plan.
Operator duties
- Print the real Guest PSK on Card 2. Do not publish the Staff PSK.
- Leave the lid open on hot days. Caps on in rain.
- If the case is stolen: email TwoLfe. We can remotely forget the UniFi site and rotate PSKs. Police serial is on the I/O panel.
- Rate limits are how fifty phones share a Mini. “Wi-Fi is slow” at the guest cap is the product working.
Enforcement
TwoLfe does not monitor guest content. The kit owner may disconnect clients, rotate the Guest PSK, or power the case down. Abuse that threatens the hardware or the Starlink account is on the owner to stop. This AUP is a condition of using Outpost-Guest, not a promise that TwoLfe is on-site.
